Our talented Chef In Residence, Loreal Gavin is a fourth generation farmer of northern Indiana and Louisiana where she fell in love with growing her own ingredients.
As the chef at Bourbon Barrel Foods, Loreal creates one-of-a-kind dining experiences with art, education, recipes with bourbon as her muse. Her intimate supper club takes place in the historic Butchertown Market at the Bourbon Barrel Foods Monogram Kitchen Studio in Louisville, Kentucky.

Loreal has made appearances on The Today Show, Rachel Ray, Food Network Star, Cutthroat kitchen, The Cooking Channel, The Hallmark Channel. Most recently she produced and hosted her digital series for CMT, ‘The Downtown Farmer.’ Loreal traveled to urban farms in search of farm-fresh ingredients to serve on her Los Angeles based food truck. Her love of travel and adventure land her in the unique locations from Maui to New York City where she creates culinary creations for her clients.
Loreal’s cookbook, ‘The Butcherbabe’ features several of the most inspired recipes from her experience as a butcher, cheesemonger, and farmer.
