Bourbon Smoked Benedictine, made with Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt, is a cucumber and cream cheese-based spread that is delicious as a dip for crackers and vegetables, spread on a sandwich or topped on a canapé. Benedictine spread created by Kentucky native, Jennie Carter Benedict. Jeannie is famous for her cookbook, The Blue Ribbon Cook Book, issued in the early 1900s. She was also a well-known caterer and restaurateur. She operated a Louisville restaurant and tea room, Benedict’s, in the early 20th century.
