Ingredients
4 granny smith apples
1 cup + 2 TBS Bourbon Smoked Sugar
1 TBS cinnamon
2 cups buttermilk
4 TBS oil + more for frying
2 eggs lightly beaten
2 cups flour
2 TBS baking soda
1 TBS Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Extract
Slice apples into thin slices, and cut out the core so that the slices look like rings. Mix 1/2 cup Bourbon Smoked Sugar and 1 TBS cinnamon in a small bowl. Mix all other ingredients in a large bowl.
Heat oil to 375 (when you drop batter in the oil, it should bubble and float). Dip each ring in the batter, and fry until each side is brown. Let drain on paper towels, and cover the rings in cinnamon and Bourbon Sugar. Enjoy!
