Ingredients:

  • 1 large melon 
  • 15 pieces of prosciutto
  • 2/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon Smoked Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Bourbon Smoked Salt
  • 1/2 cup water Whisk together the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.

Instructions:

  1. Gently simmer the sauce for 20-25 minutes, until it thickens and reduces down 1/4 cup or so. Take it off the heat and let cool.
  2. Slice melon into 1-inch thick slices, and then cut the slices into thirds or fourths.
  3. Wrap a piece or half of a piece of prosciutto around each piece of melon.
  4. Arrange the melon and prosciutto wraps on a plate and drizzle each piece with 1/2-1 tsp of the Bourbon Sugar Balsamic Sauce.
  5.  This Bourbon Sugar Balsamic Sauce is also great over strawberries, caprese salad, and other appetizers. Enjoy!
