It’s #nationaltequila day, July 24th, and we ready to celebrate! After many of Margarita posts on social media, we were inspired to switch it up and create this unique Tequila Barrel! The Tequila Barrel cocktail uses one egg white, making this drink next level! The egg white adds a frothy texture that is sure to please anyone who likes texture and flavor. This easy cocktail can be made within just 5 minutes, but it will impress your party to the last sip!
Cocktails are another perfect use of your Bourbon Smoked Sugar and Bourbon Smoked Sea- Salt and a perfect way to think outside of cooking when using these products. We have evaluated this cocktail to the next level by using our handcrafted Woodford Reserve® line of Cherries and Bitters.
This delicious cocktail will have you wishing it was tequila o’clock all of the time!
- 1 oz Tequila
- 1 oz ounce vanilla simple syrup, plus extra for glass rim
- Bourbon Smoked Sugar (for glass rim)
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 egg white
- 4 dashes Woodford Reserve Bitters
- 1 pinch Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt
- 1 Woodford Reserve Cherry
Pour a little vanilla simple syrup into a saucer.
Dip the rim of a cocktail glass into the syrup, then the Bourbon Smoked Sugar.
Fill glass with ice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, 1-ounce vanilla simple syrup, lime juice, egg white, bitters and Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt.
Add some ice and shake well, until frothy.
Strain cocktail into the glass.
Garnish with a Maraschino cherry and serve.
