Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee is Safai Coffee Company’s 100% Arabica beans that have been flame-roasted and aged in a bourbon barrel once used for making Kentucky Bourbon. Each batch of coffee is tested to ensure that the bean is given the perfect roast and aging time. The result is a whole bean coffee with notes of deep chocolate, caramel and bourbon. There is no alcohol content, but the rich, charred oak lends flavors of the South’s favorite dark spirit.

When Mike and Medora Safai stumbled into the coffee world, they they lit a spark of passion for exploration that would soon become a driving force in their continued pursuit of perfection in the craft.
In 1998, the couple opened their first store in Louisville, Kentucky.
The 72 square foot drive-thru kiosk was a humble beginning, but it was inside of that kiosk that the Safais built a curiosity for coffee into a love for it.
Rather than forcing coffee to suit them, the Safai’s learned to understand and adapt their roasting techniques to the strengths and depths of each individual bean.

Bluegrass Soy Sauce is microbrewed in small batches using only whole Kentucky-grown Non-GMO soybeans, soft red winter wheat, and the purest limestone filtered Kentucky spring water.
