This cheese ball is bright and refreshing, and perfect for a Derby Party or Easter gathering. Serve it as a spin on a dessert cheese ball or serve it along with savory appetizers.
- 16 oz of Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Mint Julep Jelly
- crushed – Bourbon Smoked Salt, to taste
- crushed – Bourbon Smoked Pepper, to taste
- Lemon Zest
- Nut of Choice – We love Bourbon Spice Pecans
Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Combined cream cheese and Mint Julep Jelly in mixing bowl. Season with Bourbon Smoked Sea Salt and Bourbon Smoked Pepper to taste.
To shape the mixture into a ball:
Drap cling wrap in a large bowl. Fill with cream cheese and mint julep jelly mixture. Pull up sides of cling wrap and shape a ball. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Finely chop preferred nut.
Once chilled, remove cling wrap. Use non-stick cooking spray to grease hands. Hold the cheese ball in one hand and use your other hand to gently scoop the chopped nuts and press them onto the ball.
